GASi International Symposium

Virtual | 300 delegates

The Group-Analytic Society (GASi) , a reference in the group analysis psychotherapist field, was founded in 1952 and has approximately 800 international members.

GASi organises a wide range of activities but the triannual GASi International Symposium is the largest and most important event in the calendar. This year the Sociedad Española de Psicoterapia y Técnicas de Grupo (SEPTG) was co-organizing the event, which should have been taken place in Barcelona but due to the COVID19 crisis was moved to virtual.

The core theme of the Symposium was the language, for this reason, the Symposium was for the first time multilingual, with English, Spanish and Catalan being the symposium official languages.

The 1st Online GASi Symposium came out as 2 days and a half trilingual symposium, with simultaneous translation and the participation of more than 300 group psychotherapy and other group dynamics professionals from 40 different countries.

In addition to the keynote sessions, a total of 200 presentations distributed in subplenaries, paper panel presentations and workshops, as well as small, median and large groups composed the scientific programme. All enlivened with an amazing social programme: open micro, flamenco workshops and free time during breaks to virtually meet with colleagues and friends!
